Elin Ear Pick

Technology of making eyewear allowed to make a comfortable earpick.
The Elin ear pick collaborated with Japanese eyewear company “Shimizu Kogyojyo” which is located in Sabae city, Fukui Prefecture, Japan, where most Japanese eyewear is made.
By using beta titanium, which is the same material used for the eyeware, the ear pick has the perfect elasticity and will not stress or damage the ear canal, providing comfort when using the ear pick. The beta-titanium material does not cause metal allergic reactions.
Closing the ear pick with the cap allows to keep the tip clean, and also prevent damage of the elastic beta-titanium material.
Each product is handmade, sand blasted. The product only weighs 17g.

Elin Ear Pick

elinは繊細なβチタンの耳かき部を削り出しのアルミボディで保護し、耳かきの頂点を目指しました。
耳かき部はチタンは酸化しにくく金属アレルギーを起こしにくい、しなやかなバネ性を有するβチタン製で、無理な力が加わってもその力が逃げるようにすことでる、外耳道に傷をつけない程よい使い心地を実現させました。
キャップを閉じると、ゴミや埃が付くことがなく、衛生的に持ち運ぶことができます。

持ち手と本体が滑らかに繋がよう、一つ一つ丁寧にアルミを加工しています。
削り出したアルミに細かい砂を当てるサンドブラスト加工により、表面はさらりとしたマットな質感に仕上がり、砂の粒を纏ったような光沢が、見る角度によって表情を変えます。
高い精度を必要とする金属部品の加工を得意とする福井県鯖江市の清水工業所。
複雑な形状のメガネフレーム製造で培われた難易度の高いβチタンの切削加工技術で、今までにない耳かきを実現しました。
